Account and Data Deletion

1. How to request deletion

You can request account deletion directly inside the Sijama app.

  • Open Sijama app and sign in to your account.
  • Go to Settings or Profile.
  • Select Delete Account.
  • Follow the in-app confirmation steps.

If you cannot access the app, contact us at aouranetwork@gmail.com and include your registered email or phone number.

2. Regular user deletion flow

For regular customer accounts, deletion is a two-step process with a safety window.

  • Step 1: after confirmation, your account is marked as pending deletion for 15 days.
  • Step 2: after the 15-day window, permanent deletion is processed by system cleanup and deletion jobs.
  • You can cancel (recover) your account any time before deletion is finalized.
  • If your account is not yet due for deletion, the app will tell you how many days remain.

3. Shop owner (business) deletion flow

Shop and business accounts use an admin-approval flow and are not deleted by the regular customer deletion route.

  • Shop owner submits a deletion request from the app.
  • If a previous request is still pending, a new request is not created.
  • Request is reviewed in the Sijama admin panel.
  • If approved, the account is permanently deleted; if rejected, the account remains active.

4. Why a deletion request may be delayed

To protect users, shops, and legal obligations, deletion can be blocked or delayed when critical actions are still open.

  • Active order states (such as pending, confirmed, processing, ready, or shipped).
  • Outstanding payment balances on orders that are not cancelled or refunded.
  • Business accounts must use the admin-approval deletion flow.
  • Required fraud, abuse, or security investigations.

5. Data deleted when account deletion is completed

  • Profile and account information associated with the deleted account.
  • Authentication data and active sessions related to that account.
  • App-linked personal data that is not required for legal, financial, or security retention.

6. Data that may be retained

Some records may be retained for a limited period where required by law, dispute handling, fraud prevention, tax/accounting, or payment compliance.

  • Transaction, invoice, and payment records required for financial compliance.
  • Security and audit logs needed for abuse prevention and incident response.
  • Records needed to resolve legal claims or enforce platform terms.

7. Processing timeline

  • Regular users: scheduled deletion window is 15 days from request confirmation.
  • Automatic cleanup services run periodically to remove accounts that are due for deletion.
  • Business users: timeline depends on admin review and operational checks.

8. Request deletion of specific data (without deleting account)

You may request deletion of certain personal data without closing your account by contacting aouranetwork@gmail.com. We will review each request according to legal and service requirements.

9. Contact and request format

In your request, include your account identifier (email or phone), account type (regular or shop owner), and whether you request full account deletion or specific data deletion.
